The American Dream, in 2-D Surround Sound

In 2014, I was invited to participate in a fellowship with Transformer Gallery, in which I was given an opportunity to create a sound piece for the "Coda" of Artisphere's sound art exhibit Fermata. The work was presented on a speaker installation by artist John Henry Blatter, in which amplifiers were routed to 14 separate clusters of speakers. Though challenging, this allowed me to move sound throughout the installation, almost like a projector moving light throughout a screen. Above is an excerpt of the piece, bounced down to stereo for demonstration purposes. The full piece can be heard here http://www.ian-mcd.com/fermata/
